Avon has long been known as the company for women and has raised millions of £'s for well known causes like Breast Cancer Research, Domestic violence and Coppafeel.
Now Avon has launched the Stand4her campaign which recognises and aims to address the challenges that women face, and to remove the barriers that stand in the way of a woman taking opportunities to reach her full potential.
This falls in line with Avon's 130 year old ethos of empowering women. In research commissioned by Avon with input by Oxford Economics, it was established that 50% of women worldwide feel they don't live in a culture that encourages female entrepreneurship.
So Avon are taking a stand. They aim to "create opportunities for women to build their own success in their own way and on their own terms". How? by bringing all the Avon causes under the spotlight, challenging stereotypes and offering women the opportunity to earn their own income and gain financial independence.
"Stand4her is what we do, every day – it’s what we’ve been doing for over 130 years. We’re reigniting Avon’s strong sense of purpose and doubling down on our efforts to support women and provide more meaningful and rewarding opportunities for our beauty entrepreneurs." according to Jan Zingerfeld, Avon's CEO
The programme is designed to help 100 million women each year worldwide, to help to improve their lives by giving them the opportunity to earn and to live healthy and safe lives.
